Printed words cannot do justice to these products as they cannot transmit the exhilarating experience of recording and recreating musical events with an FM ACOUSTICS.
The information on these pages, therefore, is of general nature to allow some insight in the philosophy, the technology, applications and results. But only when actually hearing an FM ACOUSTICS will you capture the full meaning of all these words.

Specifications are often misused, misunderstood, or utilized only to sell a product instead of indicating its actual performance capabilities. "Typical" specifications will not tell you much about the true value of a certain component. Only guaranteed minimum data as specified for all FM ACOUSTICS products, together with carefully controlled listening tests, will provide useful information.
Please observe these distinctions if you make comparisons with other product's data sheet.

As an example of the differences: almost all manufacturers quote rise time and slew rate either with no measurement details at all or at an unrealistic level of 1 W into 8 Ohm or so and are therefore able to quote impressive looking data. At FM ACOUSTICS, we quote rise time at full power -3 dB which is certainly much harder and honest than the good-looking but unrealistic 1 W rating of other manufacturers. Another example is power, where you will see absolutely stratospheric power ratings far away from any reality ('500W' units that have a 50W power supply, ghetto blasters rated at "800W" etc.). Even in 'high end' products - that are generally rated a bit more reasonably - actual differences of up to 300% have been experienced.

Compared with other amplifiers of similar power ratings, FM ACOUSTICS power amplifiers drive speakers effortlessly to higher levels. Actual SPL (Sound Pressure Level) differences of between 2 and 8 dB have been documented. This astounding distortion-free dynamic increase is one of the remarkable characteristics of FM ACOUSTICS' power amplifiers.
However, it must be realized that the traditionally used static measurements can never describe the actual capabilities of an FM ACOUSTICS when it is playing dynamic music signals. Bear in mind such differences when comparing data sheets.
